Using the Teespring profit calculator

Putting a price on your creations can be difficult. You want to give your community a fair price, while also making enough funds to continue pursuing your dream career.

In order to make this process easier; Teespring offers a super-simple flat pricing model. Each item has a ‘base price’ and anything above that is all yours. So whether you price your items $1 above the base price or $20 above, you have 100% control over your profit, all while having to pay nothing!

What is included in the base cost?

The base cost includes garment cost, printing, fulfillment, customer service, and refunds. Our base cost isn’t really a ‘cost’ at all – as you pay nothing, making uploading a design to sell on Teespring is risk-free, hooray!

Using our profit calculator

We have developed a brand new profit calculator for you to choose the prices of your products quickly and effectively! To use the calculator, simply choose your fulfillment region/currency, adjust the price in the RRP column and the profit column will adjust accordingly! Change the RRP (Recommended Retail Price – this is the price you will be selling your product at) until the profit column looks appealing to you and the RRP looks reasonable to sell to your audience. The calculator is pre-loaded with our recommended prices.

Do your research

Be fair. Make sure you know your audience and how much they are willing to pay. Why not ask your audience with a poll on Twitter – or reach out via the Youtube Community Tab?

We have put together a list of ‘most-popular’ selling prices around the globe to give you an idea of the worldwide averages! 😉

We recommend using ‘charm’ pricing – this is when you price your products to end with .95 or .99. It seems that consumers like prices that end in ‘9’ and experiments say that pricing your items this way increases purchases

Heads up!

Remember, once you have chosen your pricing, it cannot be changed after you launch! This is to ensure your buyers get a fair price. However, if you do want to change details such as price, product styles/colors or your campaign URL after you’ve launched, contact campaigns@teespring.com or DM us @teespring on Twitter.

In last Sept, I bought a beautiful tee from you . It was the peace symbol by pretty bird group. I looked through your bird tees site pages and could not find it. Can you tell me how to order a blue tee for my sister’s birthday in April?

Great calculator. It would be great if it included a few other expenses in a traditional tshirt business. I found a good one here: https://heatpressfun.com/blogs/heat-press/profit-calculator

Can you tell me what the fee is if your item doesnt sell?

    1. Avatar Erica Bickel says:

Hi Sarah, there is no fee if your item doesn’t sell!

    Hello,
Can you tell me about shipping costs? Is that part of ‘fulfillment’, or are shipping costs taken out of seller profit?
    Peace
    Eric

    1. Avatar Erica Bickel says:

Hey Eric, the cost of shipping does not directly affect the seller. Any direct costs are already built into the base cost of the products you’re selling, with the shipping costs being paid for by the buyer like any normal retailer. To put it simply, it is part of “fulfillment” – no additional costs are taken out of seller profit!

  6. Avatar Grant Hunter says:

Can I edit the price of listings? Or will I have to start a separate campaign to redo pricing?

    1. Avatar Erica Bickel says:

Hey Grant, currently we do not let users edit their listings after they’ve already been made live. You’ll have to re-launch the campaign to edit pricing.

  7. Avatar Eduardo Galdames says:

How do you change the price of a product?

    1. Avatar Erica Bickel says:

Hey Eduardo, you can not currently edit live listings. If you want to edit the price, you’ll have to archive your listing and create a new one.

Are there any fees I will pay you? Outside of the cost you ask for a shirts sale? Any reason why money would come from my bank account and go to you ?

    Thank you

    1. Avatar Erica Bickel says:

Hey Douglas, no! Our “fee” is included in the base cost of each item.
