Teespring’s exciting promo code beta is live!

Teespring has just released an exciting update that will improve the way buyers and sellers use promo codes! In addition to using promotion URLs, buyers now have the option to enter promo codes at checkout to redeem discounts. This update makes it easier for sellers to offer promotions for their storefronts as well as product listings.

To create a promo code you can follow the same process as before. Just go to the “Promotions” section of your Teespring account and create a promo ID, don’t forget you can customize your promo ID however you like. You can select different types of promotions (i.e. free shipping, specific discount amount as $5, or a percentage discount like 15%). Then set the expiration date for the promo code or make it “never ending”. Make sure the promo code’s status is switched to “on” so buyers can redeem the promotion.

Once the code is created you can contact past buyers or share the code with your online audience. Buyers will be able to use the promo code on any of your listings.

Keep in mind this feature is still in beta—we’ve got a few final touches to add but the new promo codes can be used on any of your listings at this time!

When i make a promo code. Can use that to certain people that i only share it to? Meaning only the people i make it public to can use it but it wont show up if someone else checks out, that they wont see it.

    1. Kate Shoaf says:

Anyone can use your promo code on any of your listings so you should only share it with the people you want to use it.

Hey James, we currently only have promo codes for individual items, but we are working on a larger discount update.

I made a Promo code but when I tried to see if it works only the discount for the percentage works, the discounts for free shipping doesn’t work, please help me on how to fix this

  8. April Blount says:

Do the promos come out of our profits?

    1. Kate Shoaf says:

Yes – any discount code you offer will be deducted from profit margin. But with the increase number of sales this should make up the difference!
