Teespring hat sales heat up as temperatures drop!

Apart from die cut stickers, hats are becoming one of the hottest new products at Teespring this holiday season. So which hat styles are the most popular right now?

#1 Beanies

It’s no surprise beanies are especially popular this time of year. Our cuffed knit beanies are hypoallergenic and feature turbo spun acrylic material. They’re hand washable and long knit too.

#2 Dad Hat

Teespring’s chino washed cotton twill dad hats feature six panels and an antique brass buckle closure. They’re unstructured for a comfortable fit and feature a matching undervisor.

#3 Snapback Hat

Snapback hats feature a high profile and flat visor. They’ve got six sewn eyelets and a green undervisor. Buyers also love the plastic ‘snapback’ adjustable closure for the perfect fit.

#4 Trucker Hat

Trucker hats feature a plastic snap back closure and flat visor. The mesh back keeps wearers cools, making it the perfect accessory once the weather starts to heat up.

Hat design trends

This year we’re seeing lots of silhouettes in contrasting colors (ex. white text on black hat), playful messaging, combo designs, and fancy lettering.  Keep your designs simple but impactful. Check out these design boards for inspiration below.

Creating hat designs

All Teespring hats are embroidered on-demand. When creating embroidery designs there are several factors you need to keep in mind like thread color, line density, detail, etc. Make sure to read Teespring’s Embroidery Style Guide before creating your first hat design. In this guide we cover the do’s and don’ts of hat designs and provide design templates for you to use too.

Selling hats with Teespring

Hats are being rolled out to seller accounts over time. You can visit the Teespring Launcher now to see if you have access to hats as well as our newest specialty products.

Please note there are no upfront inventory costs associated with selling hats, however, there is a one-time, $10 digitizing fee. Each hat design must be digitized before a listing is created. The good news is one digitized file can be applied to snapback hats, trucker hats, and dad caps. Beanies have a different embroidery area and therefore require a separate digitized file. Different hat products can be combined in one listing too—visit the Teespring Launcher to learn more.

Like to pay $10 dollars to unlock the hats

    1. Erica Bickel says:

Hey Charles, the only way to unlock hats is to increase your sales. Best of luck!

  3. ALEX JACOBS JR says:

    Please unlock the hats

How soon? I don’t have $10 and would love to make hats for election day. I love Teespring and if hats unlock soon without paying i’ll be very happy

Hey, we do not have a hard deadline on when each of these products will be fully integrated + available to all users. As we expand production capacity and grow, more and more of these products will be released into the Teespring Launcher for everyone to use. We appreciate your patience!

  4. Tony Harrison says:

What’s with holding the hats hostage? I joined teespring just so I could sell my hat designs to match my t-shirts. How am I suppose to earn a trust score when I just joined? I thought this was going to be a good thing, but now I have my doubts.

    1. Kate Shoaf says:

Hey Tony! We’re creating these products manually for now so that’s why we require the trust score to gain access. Once you’ve gotten your first few sales you should be assigned a trust score. Make sure you’ve entered your payout info too!

  5. Jacob says:

Hey – any update on unlocking the hats? I’d really like to sell them on my store

    1. Luiza Jordan says:

Hey, sorry for any disappointment but hats are still a speciality product. We’re making more of these kinds of products fully integrated in the launcher as we grow. Keep posted 🙂
