Tell us about yourself/what’s your background?
I think of myself as a “performance marketer’s” marketer. After spending a decade and a half in offline / direct marketing and marketing strategy consulting, I’ve spent the most recent decade immersed in online customer acquisition leadership for eBay and Google. At eBay, I was the Global Director of the eBay Partner Network, eBay’s largest customer acquisition channel. Prior to that, I was at Google, where I was a part of the original leadership team that launched the Google Affiliate Network. We were a scrappy bunch. In addition to being responsible for thousands of affiliate programs for retail advertisers, my team developed the original proof of concept for Google’s Product Listing Ads (PLA’s) via our Affiliate Network. I am a native Chicagoan (go Cubbies) and earned my BA from Grinnell College in Iowa and my MBA from the University of Chicago (Booth). I currently reside in the emerald city – Seattle, WA.
What is your job title and what do you do at Teespring?
Vice President, Global Seller Growth.
I am globally responsible (with the help of my team) for paving the path for Seller Success. We do this via Teespring’s exceptional Selling Platform (e.g., features and functionality), our Seller Development teams (Account Management, Seller Support), our Community, and our Seller Programs (e.g., Loyal(tee), Fulfillment).
What inspires you most about working with the Springer community?
I love working with smart, driven people who follow their dreams. The Springer community, a reflection of the larger performance marketing community, is among the most innovative, hard-working and resilient communities that I have ever met. Talk about inventive? Our community members are pioneers. They are the astronauts of the internet. I love hearing about their success stories and I am touched by stories about how they persevered by using our platform to help them work through life’s big challenges. Our Springers are completely inspiring and remind me why I do what I do.
What is your proudest/funniest/happiest (choose one) moment since joining the Teespring Team?
I am most proudest of establishing Teespring’s first outpost in Seattle (the Tee-attle office) and creating positive Seller Sentiment / momentum in Q1.
What are you most excited about for TeeCon Barcelona?
Being surrounded by the very people that put us on the map, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Also looking forward to some quality time with my colleagues from the EU Team. Lastly, I am a big fan of Gaudi and hope to get a chance to see his masterful artwork and architecture up close and personal. Getting out every now and then is good for the soul. I always come back from these kinds of events incredibly energized.
