Spring has sprung and we all know what that means…spring cleaning!
There’s no better way to show off your collections of awesome designs than by housing them in your custom store! But when was the last time you updated your storefront…if ever!
Not only does having a storefront unlock more sales, but they also help you to build a brand that your buyers will return to again and again. Listings in storefronts get 58% more views on average than those not in storefronts. Also, listings in storefronts sell 19% more units than those not in storefronts.
Jared, a Teespring storefront master, is here to give 4 tips on how to refresh your storefront in time for the spring season. Don’t get left behind, your storefront is sooo last year 😉
1. Make It Official
Add a logo! This solidifies your brand presence on Teespring and ties in with branding you might have on other social platforms. It also makes your brand look legit! Your logo should have a max file size 1 MB. If you don’t have a logo, the name of your store will appear in the header space, check out Canva for helpful tools on creating a logo.
Ensure that your logo is presented across all of your product pages. It takes 5-7 impressions before someone will remember your branding and logo, so be sure to show it off!
See above how to add your logo and expand to each of your product pages
2. Add A Banner
Think of your banner like a Facebook cover photo or a YouTube banner – it will be the first thing your buyer will see when they visit your store. Choose an image that speaks to your brand (max file size 10 MB). We recommend uploading a 1600 x 200 pixel image, but the banner size adjusts to match your image size, so any “wide” image will look great. If you choose to add a banner, make sure it matches your header colour and logo. You can blend the banner with your header using a gradient effect like Zias! See how they have used a solid band or red in their banner that perfectly matches their fade below. We have a handy resource with a tutorial on how to create a gradient effect.
Or, you can try using negative space to create a clean, minimal look? Ashley James, model, DJ and influencer, uses a white backdrop in photoshoots where she is wearing her own merch from her line ÉgaliTEE. This gives a negative space effect, making the store look minimal and clean!
You can also try making things obvious but informative, include messaging in your banner like “New Merch!” or “Summer Collection 2018!” to show your audience that your store is not only exclusive to you but limited edition too!
3. Keep It Simple
if a banner seems a bit much, simply leave it off and run with a bold coloured header and clean logo. Lucas the Spiders‘ store has a clean, flat banner and gives a modern, sleek look. See how the colour scheme works well with the products on offer. Colour increases brand recognition by up to 80%.
4. But Who Are You?
Remember, it’s all about you! Be sure to add an ‘about‘ section to give a bit more background about yourself and the product range. Also, be sure to add your social links to gain new followers and extra exposure.
However you complete your store, be sure that it is 100% you. It’s YOUR store!

Excellent. Nicely done.
How do I create my link? So people will buy my designs?
I read all the articles; still can’t edit my store or add products.
Hey Ching, to edit your store, navigate to the “Storefronts” tab on your Teespring dashboard. From here, you can click the pencil icon in the top right of the “View Store” screen and customize your storefront. To add products, simply navigate to the Teespring homepage and click “Start Designing” on the top right banner.
Unfortunately I cannot see my all my products in the section where I can add them to my store front
So many designs aren’t showing up to be added where is the problem?
Hey sometimes products won’t show up if their visibility is set to private, or if the listing isn’t ‘live’. Check out this video for a demo on adding products to your storefront and if you are still experiencing issues please reach out to [email protected].
how do change my storefront name.Thanks.
How do I add a shirt from one store front to another store front?
Hey Tony, in the storefronts section of your account—click the small pencil button to edit the storefront. From there choose which of your listings you’d like to display in that storefront
How can I just add a sweatshirt or hoodie to a listing that i already have? Do I have to create the design again to add?
Hey please check out this video for instructions on how to add a new product to an existing listing – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfHE2f_e2kM
When add a new product it always gets listed at the bottom of the storefront. How do I rearrange the storefront so a new listing appears at the top or wherever I feel it would be most appropriate?
Hi Clay, when in editing your storefront – click the products tab and star the products you’d like to appear at the top. Check out this video for more guidance
How do I combine the same design across multiple products to view as only one listing so same design is not visible on 7 items in strorefront. I have searched everywhere and can’t figure this out. thx!!!
Hey Lisa, this is possible! Please check out our YouTube video, which shows how you can do this
Hi there,
I don’t think this answers the question properly. The question is; If you have 1 design, but use it on multiple products. When you do this, it shows all the products on the landing page. How do you only show 1 product on the landing page, but have the same design on different products?
Hey, you need to create one listing in the launcher and create your designs all in one go. Once you have created your first product, before you click save you will have the option to add different product types. Keep in mind you can’t use the same product more than once in one listing.
Hello,
I think what she’s trying to say is that when the listing is already created, and there are multiple products are created with it, all of the different products with the same design are displayed on the front page. How do we get it to only show one of the several products that still, when clicked on, shows all of the other products too?
Hey, I see. This is the way the platform works, when you have several products in a listing, each time a fan clicks on one of your listings they will view them together. However, each new product will be shown separately on your storefront. I’ll feed back to the tech team though. Thanks for the feedback!
Hi, why are my listings showed zero at my storefronts while i almost uploaded 42 products 24 hours ago?
Hey there, please reach out to [email protected] for help with this!
Can you remove any products or hide them? I actually made my store too fast and I want to change listings and add more information since I know the mistakes I have made. Any help would be very much appreciated. This is not my store email, it is for information that I need, thank you.
Hello! You will find this video helpful, it shows you how to make your listings public, private or even unlist them.
Hi. Is there any way I can rearrange the items in my store to have them appear in a certain order? Thank you.
Hey Jennifer, you can choose the products you’d like to appear at the top of your store. This video shows you how 🙂
Hi – Our storefront currently displays all sub-products of the same design. For example, we may use the exact same design across several different shirt styles (i.e.: tees, long sleeve, hoodies, sweatshirts, tank-tops, men’s, women’s, etc.), but we only want to display one product for each design and then have the shopper choose their desired shirt style from a dropdown. Instead our storefront display every single shirt style that we’ve made available for each design and the result is a store that is extremely cluttered and very frustrating to navigate. Other individuals have asked the same or similar questions in this forum but the associated video offered in response does not address this situation. Please help so we all may provide our customers with a much cleaner online shopping experience to the benefit of all involved (including Teespring). Thanks!
Hey thanks for the feedback! We’re currently working on giving users further storefront customization and branding abilities. We’re hoping to roll out a beta in the next few weeks. Watch this space!
hi, so i just started making my storefront and all the products are displayed in black and gray color only and it makes the site so dull looking. How do i fix it?
Hello there! Have a look at the storefront section of the training center and you will find out how to customize your colors. Hope that helps!
Hi I am reading the q&a, however I would like to ask…how so I seperate my storefront by subcategories? I want to have multiple storefronts but categorized by nitch or does the url link do that?
Hey, your products will be divided into product type categories but you cannot divide your storefront’s into collections yet. We’re working on this!
Is there a way to keep the Store Hidden until you are ready to launch your products?
Hey, unfortunately we don’t have this option yet. You can however make your products unlisted until you’re ready to drop them!
I there a way to only show one image per design on the storefront? If i add a design in 4 different versions it shows it 4 times.
Hey, if you’d like your designs under one listing then you can do this by adding products to existing listings. Just keep in mind that you can’t have more than one of the same type of product in one listing. Watch this video demo to learn more. Hope this answers your question!
