As the days start getting shorter and the leaves crunchier, it’s time to start thinking of upcoming fall sales trends. While Thanksgiving comes to mind as a standout autumn holiday, we must not bypass the opportunity to sell a scary amount of products for Halloween!
Where is Halloween most notably celebrated?
- United Kingdom
(But also catching on amongst the youth of many countries worldwide!)
So which countries were the biggest buyers on Teespring this time last year?
Unsurprisingly, we see countries 1 through 4 are the same ones we previously mentioned…so it makes sense that they had the most sales leading up to this holiday. Keep these countries and cultures in mind as you brainstorm new design ideas!
Halloween Design Inspiration
The exact origins of Halloween are unknown, but popular belief suggest the holiday originated in Ireland. It is believed people originally wore costumes to protect themselves from evil spirits which visited the earth on Halloween night. Nowadays Halloween is all about having fun, wearing costumes and eating candy. People wear all kinds of costumes…the most popular being funny, sexy and scary!
Halloween could be considered a commercial holiday…due to the high amount of money spent celebrating it! According to the National Retail Federation in 2015 alone, over 157 million Americans celebrated Halloween; spending $6.9 billion in total with the average American spending $74 on decorations, candy, costumes, etc. This is where you, Springer, comes in! Here’s your chance to create some truly unique designs and boost your sales coming into the fall season!
T-shirt costumes are becoming more and more popular every year; consider creating a funny design for your niche that is related to Halloween. It’s common for teachers to wear costumes or funny t-shirts to school on holidays for example and lots of companies host halloween parties and events for their employees.
