Amplify Your Charity Listings on #GivingTuesday

Did you know that more charitable donations are made at the end of the year than any other time? Give your holiday charity campaigns a boost by participating in this year’s #GivingTuesday on November 28th!

What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday was launched six years ago by the 92nd Street Y, a cultural center in New York City. The ‘social media holiday’ was devised as a way to cut through the noise of Black Friday and give back to the community. That idea has since turned into a global day of giving, exceeding more than $177 million donations in 2016 alone!

Looking to get involved? One of the best ways to garner support is within your own community! Whether you’ve donated to a charity before or are looking to give for the first time, participating in #GivingTuesday is the perfect way to amplify your charitable listing.  

How can I participate?

Teespring sellers have donated millions to fundraisers, relief efforts, charities, and movements worldwide. You can use Teespring’s verified charity donation feature to contribute some or all of your profits to any charity of your choosing.

If you’re creating apparel, mugs, or totes, simply select “donate all or some of my profits to charity” in the “Add Products” step.

If you’re using the new design launcher to design on new products like pillows and posters, please email campaigns@teespring.com with your listing’s URL, the percentage you want to donate, and the organization you want to donate to.

Adding a verified contribution badge to your campaigns reassures buyers their purchase will benefit the indicated charity. In fact, conversion rates for verified campaigns are 45% higher than non-verified fundraising campaigns. Once live, be sure to use the hashtag #GivingTuesday and let your buyers know their purchase is going to a good cause.

I don’t see my charity. Can I still donate?

You sure can! Email campaigns@teespring.com with your listing’s URL, the percentage you want to donate, and the following information about the organization:

  • Name of the organization (must be based in the US)
  • Official website
  • Address
