Get ready for one of the biggest commercial events of the year! American consumers spend an average of $162.94 on gifts for mom, totaling to $19.9 billion in revenue. With Mother’s Day right around the corner, check out our top tips for increasing sales and cutoff dates to keep in mind.
- May 12th: U.S., Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland
- May 26th: France, Sweden
1) See what’s trending
Scour sites like Pinterest or Google Trends to see what’s popular in your target area or niche. Be sure to adjust designs based on your audience’s geographic region—for example, an item that says “mum” would likely sell better in the U.K. compared to the U.S. Based on sales performance from previous years, we recommend floral designs, cursive script, bright colors, and statement tees.
2) Adapt existing designs
Short on time? Try putting a mom-themed twist on an item you’re currently selling. You can also apply existing designs to some of our newest products like leggings, die cut stickers, and specialty items like bags. Don’t forget to include groups like LGTBQ+, grandmothers, aunts, stepmothers, or pet owners (ex. dog mom) too!
3) Personalize it
Personalization and monograms are always popular on Teespring and the Boosted Network. If your storefront focuses on slogans or graphic tees try incorporating the most popular female names into your designs.
